Xanxus shifted slightly on his seat, letting Squalo come closer to him, and easily caught the sly grin. Xanxus feigned innocence. He kept his face straight—his lips barely twitching—and cleared his throat. Avoiding eye contact with the other from fear of suddenly bursting out laughing, he casually replied,
“I don’t know. Boiling an egg, maybe?” he bit his lips then, keeping in a laugh that threatened to come out. “But that’s boring, isn’t it? Would you care to enlighten me?”
He turned his head, and looked at Squalo; his eyes bright with amusement.
What was going on? Xanxus never reacted like this. The innocent look totally did not suit him until he saw a slight glint of amusement in his eyes. So this was amusing to him?
Boiling an egg…really? Squalo stared blankly at Xanxus, contemplating whether he should or not. Because really, that reply just totally killed the mood. So he let out a long sigh and shook his head. “Ah forget it. Not important anyways. You can just go back to waiting.” To which Squalo noticed there was now seven minutes remaining. Could this thing go any slower?
